On May 24, 2012, Professor Des Mclernon, the Director of Graduate Studies of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, together with the Director of China Office Mr. Chen Kun, visited the School of Science and Technology (SIST), Fudan University. This visit was an extension of Professor Ian D. Robertson's visit in March, who is the Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Leeds.

Professor Ran Liu, the Dean of Internationalization of SIST addressed the welcome meeting, and introduced the current international joint programs at SIST. The two Schools were interested in cooperations at the graduate level, and would start from academic exchanges.
